The Jazz 'n Roll quartet has been creating jazz arrangements of popular tunes for over a decade. The groups' mission is to bring jazz to those who thinks they don't like jazz, and give the famous songs the jazzy and latin spices they need to fit that world. The band consist of four international musicians, and has all over in a verity of settings. Some of the groups’ most famous arrangements are to songs such as “Blame it on the Boogie” by Jackson 5, Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen’s Spirit”, and “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis, to name a few.

Omer Rizi:

Pianist , Keyboardist and arranger. Jerusalem accademy of music BMUS graduate. 

Trained at childhood both as a classical and jazz pianist

Omer has been a part of the Israeli music industry since 2004 in various genres. Currently playing with The Doo-Wop girls, Common Bond, Monti Fiori, Yad Eliahu, Smoke Machine, Roy Young and has been performing world wide with many artists.

 

In addition, Omer is a jazz/classical music teacher, musical director and composing his own original music.

 

 

Alon Carmelly:

Alon Carmelly is a double bass player (contrabass) and composer.

In 1999, Alon moved to New York where he regularly played Jazz and Salsa clubs and was trained by New York's finest such as John Patitucci.

Alon toured Europe for 4 years with "the Apples" (nu-Funk band out of Tel Aviv) and Recorded an album in Peter Gabriel's Studio in the UK.

Alon created the project Cut n Bass in 2011 in order to explore groove based, spontaneous electronic music

Ella Tadmor

Vocal artist.

Ella is a gifted Jazz and blues musician and one of the promising talents in the Israeli Jazz scene.

She has been seen in Rock and Musical theater, has he own Doo-Wop group "The Doo-Wop Girls",  released three albums ("Blame it on the Bebop" "Neomi's groove" and "the surprising obvious") has her own electro-pop group "JIVE64" , played the leading role in a children’s Opera, “Story of Sol” and performed world wide with Jazz and Bigband groups.

 

Ella has a B.A graduate from The Jerusalem Music Academy, and served as a singer at the IDF band.

Married to Jazz 'n Roll's pianist Omer Rizi and they have two children.

Asaf Dagan:

Drummer and Drum teacher. Rimon School graduate with a BA cum laude from Berklee College of Music Berklee in Boston, USA.
Currently plays in productions, recordings sessions, theater, concerts and numerous projects in Israel and abroad. Some of the projects include working with Daniel Salomon, Nurit Galron, Harel S’kat, Roy Young, Daniella Spector; Theater productions with Avi Kushnir and the show "Piaf " which was nominated show of the year. Other than Jazz 'n Roll, Asaf was also one of the founders of the project Diggin' Classics which includes the Revolution Orchestra as part of its’ program.
In addition, Asaf has founded the center for the drum studies "Hatupiya" which incorporates studying drums, percussion and music ensembles .
